OptiGrit 6" Soft Interface Foam Pad – Hook & Loop DA Sander Pad

The OptiGrit 6" Soft Interface Foam Pad sits between your DA sander's backing plate and the sanding disc, adding a layer of soft, tear-resistant EVA foam that lets the disc follow curves, body lines and contours instead of digging in. It spreads sanding pressure evenly, so you get a consistent scratch pattern on fenders, bumpers, hoods and other shaped panels, with far less risk of burning through edges or leaving flat spots.

The hook face grips any 6" hook & loop disc and the loop face locks onto your sander's backing plate. The 6-hole layout lines up with common 6" DA dust-extraction plates, and because OptiGrit film discs are no-hole, they cover the pad fully for uninterrupted contact. About 1/2" thick, it gives the cushion you want for finish sanding without going so soft that the disc loses its cut.

Use the pad on P320 and finer when sanding primer on contoured panels, and on P800 through 3000 when refining before buffing. For flat panels and heavy cutting with coarser grits, run the disc straight on the backing plate for a faster cut.
